FAQ
Q Why do we need a website?
A website is a valuable information resource for your school. It allows you to share information with parents, pupils, teachers and governors in one central location. This can include, letters to parents, school policies, homework, calendar information, contact information, newsletters, prospectus, reports etc
Q I can build my own website for nothing. Why should I pay for one?
It is relatively easy to build a website, but a lot harder to build a good one. Our websites are professionally designed to government standards, using beautifully designed illustrations, and offer a number of accessibility features that are now a legal requirement.
Q One of our parents, teachers or governors is an IT expert. Surely they can do it?
A recent survey of school websites showed that only 2 in every 100 sites complies with current legislation. This is because many school websites are designed by either parents, teachers or governors who are not aware of the requirements. This could potentially result in a claim being issued against schools under the Disability Discrimination Act, and should such a claim be successful, compensation is unlimited.
Q How much will it cost?
This depends on your requirements, but an average site costs around £650. Our three main competitors charge between £1000 and £1500 for a similar site.
Q Why are your charges a lot less than everyone elses?
We are a small family run business and as such our overheads are considerably lower than our competitors. We believe in passing this saving on to your school.
Q You usually get what you pay for. Does this mean that your sites are not as good as school sites built by other companies?
We guarantee that our sites are as good as or better than all competitor sites.
Q How can I get my money back?
We also offer the opportunity for schools to claim all of the money back from their website by using our referral scheme. We pay a referral fee of £50 to your school for every referral that results in an order.
Q Why should we choose A Plus
